Q: Do you supply bedding and towels?
A: All apartments are supplied with bed linen and a bath towel per guest with a hand towel in each bathroom. However, please note that we do not supply swimming towels for apartments in developments in which leisure facilities are on-site.
Your apartment will also have some essentials to get you going, e.g. Toilet roll, hand soap, washing up liquid, dishwasher tabs (where applicable) etc. However, please note that we do not provide toiletries, e.g. shampoo, conditioner, shower gel/soap etc.
Q: How far in advance can I book an apartment with A Space in the City?
A Space in the City Ltd can currently only take bookings a maximum of 3 months in advance.
As you can see from our website, we have a vast selection of serviced apartments available to specifically match your requirements. Therefore please do not hesitate to contact us closer to your trip to our fabulous capital, at which time we shall release availability for the period requested.
Q: What deposit is needed to make a booking?
A: We are currently updating our website to show live availability of our individual apartments and to take payments on-line. Until this has been completed, we require a Booking Form completed and faxed back to us on +44 (0)8450 582 582. Once received we shall process your booking by taking a £50 booking deposit if your arrival is more than 14 days away. If you booking is within 14 days, full payment is required.
Please note that event rated orders are subject to full payment at time of booking and only 50% refund can be provided if cancelled outside the 14 day period.
Q: I am concerned about faxing my credit card details - can the booking be confirmed by phone?
A: Until our new website is launched we take our bookings by receipt of a fully completed Booking Form. To avoid an apartment being reserved by someone else, the quickest way to get this to us is by fax. This is a safe method of transferring sensitive data since it cannot be intercepted, unlike an email.
However, if you do not have access to a fax machine, please contact our office on 08452 60 70 50 to discuss an alternative method with one of our Reservations Consultants.
Q: When is the remainder needed?
The outstanding balance is due 14 days prior to check-in. Unless otherwise requested, the same credit/debit card used to confirm the apartment shall be debited with the outstanding balance at this time. Please see

Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: Any booking cancelled more than 14 days from your date of arrival can do so with forfeit of the booking deposit only. Any cancellation within 14 days of arrival will forfeit the full amount of your booking.

Q: Do you have apartments in any other areas of the UK?
A: We have short-stay apartments in both Cardiff and Swansea and intend to increase our network in other major cities. With so many new providers out there, should you need assistance in finding REPUTABLE companies in other cities, please get in touch and we shall assist where we can. If in doubt, ask if the provider you are interested in staying with is a member of the Association of Serviced Apartment Providers (ASAP).
Q: Are you able to provide facilities for babies?
A: A Space in the City Ltd can hire travel cots with fitted sheet and duvet on request. These are charged at £15 to set-up and £5 per night thereafter. If you are staying for more than 5 nights, please ask a
Reservations Consultant for revised quote.
Q: Are pets allowed in your apartments?
A: Although we know that many pets are extremely well behaved we regret that we are unable to accept pets in our properties.
Q: Is smoking allowed in any of your apartments?
A: The smoking ban was enforced in Wales on 2nd April 2007. Since this date every apartment on our portfolio is non-smoking. If you are a smoker, please let us know so we can try to provide an apartment with a balcony or terrace.
Q: Are you able to accommodate more than two in a 1-bedroom apartment and more than four in a 2-bed?
A: In certain apartments we are able to provide
additional occupancy for an extra charge. We can supply a camp bed suitable for an adult with all associated bedding and towels at an additional charge of £25 set-up and £15 per night thereafter. Junior camp beds are charged at £15 set-up and £10 per night thereafter. If you are staying for 5 nights or more, please ask a Reservations Consultant for a revised quote.
Q: How and when do we pay?
A: Our payment policy is outlined in Clause 9 of our Terms & Conditions of Guest Stay which you can find by clicking on the link at the top right of this page. To summarise - we take a 20% deposit at time of booking with the remainder due 14 days prior to your arrival. Any bookings taken within 14 days of arrival must be paid for in full (clear into our bank account) before the booking can be confirmed.
We take all major credit cards, including American Express. We regret we are unable to process Electron or Diners cards.
Q: How do I collect the apartment keys?
A: We check guests into their apartment personally and thus meet with you at the entrance to the development in which your apartment is located. Should you arrive outside our normal check-in hours, we reserve the right to utilise a simple self check-in process, details of which would be sent to you at time of booking.
